Happy Halloween!!!

Had a good Halloween weekend... Friday night I planned to stay in and work on a big school project since I had a Monday deadline. The thought of doing that made me feel lame and wonder what everyone else was up to.. I knew that some people were going up to Muncie for a Halloween party. I wasn't in the mood for that much excitement. So, I paged a friend (that I met in Miami years ago) and asked what she was up to... a Haunted House?? I could not pass that up! Met her and her sister in the ISD gym where the guys were playing basketball. Was surprised to see another guy I know from Miami who moved here to Indy 2 weeks ago to be with his pregnant girlfriend.. since "she is his family now." Aww!

Went to the Haunted House in South Indy with a big group -- my gosh, they were all so nice. Some I had met already, but most were new to me. I wasn't expecting much, but the haunted house (3 all together) was surprisingly super scary and so much fun. We finally got out pretty late, and after my long week I was ready to go home and crash. Did no homework, but it was worth it!

Saturday was spent doing laundry, reading magazines, cleaning my room, hanging out with some Ball State girls. Then I got ready for a Halloween party at the Indy Deaf Club - the group I went with was only going to compete in the costume contest, win money, then blow it all at the clubs afterwards. Good plan? ;) I threw together a 'tree' costume at the last minute so I could pay the reduced admission fee.. I did look pretty cute but it was no award-winning outfit :)

My friend did win the 2nd place money prize (she dressed up as an old fat man and acted like one all night, hilarious!) and she was sooo drunk. I only had a beer - was distracted with chatting and looking at all the creative costumes. One guy dressed as a man taking a shower - even had a shower strapped to his back! A bunch of us left and went to Broad Ripple, this cool street in Indy with bars, clubs, shops, and restaurants. Everyone on the streets looked awesome in so many different costumes and outfits. Went to a superfun dance club and a bar, causing all kinds of trouble.. then a few of us ended the night at Bee Double You Three - yum! Hadn't eaten there since I was in Rochy.

I so tried to be productive today, since I still have the same deadline that I did on Friday lol. But instead slept in, caught up on MTV (hooked on Jason and LC from 'Laguna'!), went out to lunch, etc. I've just started homework (it's 10pm), but being on the computer means reading/updating blogs. *sighs* I'm hopeless.

Would you believe staff in my office are not allowed to dress up for Halloween? And the children cannot trick-or-treat on campus tomorrow?? How very sad.
