Thanksgiving weekend is over and I'm so sad to see it end! The sister did up an amazing dinner on Thursday, and my sweet potato dish contribution (using a recipe passed on by the sis) was a hit. Okay, so they did not look AT ALL like the picture below, but they were delish!
Great food, drinks, company, and Wii games, complete with fire pit by the bro-in-law. The next day, I decided that I could not in good conscience participate in Black Friday shopping without getting my "house" in order-- so the day was all about cleaning and organizing. Felt so good! Ended up painting canvases in the evening and relaxing; more of the same on Saturday. Which is why I was glad to burn some Thankgiving calories this morning by going bouldering with the lovely Michelle Koplitz.
What a reality check-- I have NO body strength! The walls have different levels of difficulty and I barely completed level one. Will definitely be going back again on a regular basis as it's a great full-body workout. And so fun when you have a great partner- thanks, Michelle!!
Decided to soothe my sore muscles with a hot shower when I got home, and it was the perfect opportunity to use my new Johnson's Baby Oil products that I received after attending the Blogalicious 2010 Beauty Bash (fabulous event!).
I had gotten used to having dryer skin this season as a result of the cold weather, but after using these products, I know I will not have to worry about ashy skin this winter. The baby oil body wash is not drying at all, and the baby oil gel has my skin feeling so comfortable. I used it right away on my wet skin, so it's actually a time-saver on those rushed weekday mornings. Not to mention how great they both smell-- happiness.
Hope everyone had Happy Thanksgivings and restful weekends!
