Kayla's 1st Birthday party was a huge success!
12 babies splashing around in a pool - can you say adorable??
All 5 of her grandparents were here - so sweet!
Most of the babies and mommies have left, the men are downstairs doing men stuff, the ladies are ooh-ahhing over presents, so thought I'd grab a moment to blog...
Colorado continued!
The day after the party at Aspen Deaf Camp, I woke up to see Amy off to work at 5am and Brandon at 6am - I don't know how they did it! John's twin brother Josh came to pick me up later that morning, and a bunch of us headed to the J-Bar at Hotel Jerome in Aspen where Amy works - one of the oldest in the town. Great lunch, great service from Amy *winks*
Lunch was followed by a trip up Independence Pass for cliff-diving - cool! I watched everyone flying through the air into ice-cold water. Insane! I have awesome pics I'll post up later.
That night, we watched 'Million Dollar Baby'. It was soo much better than I expected and I totally would have cried at the ending if I wasn't so sleepy. Great movie, really great.
Friday, it was soo hot and I refused to leave the house until the afternoon when it got cooler. Drove into Aspen and shopped around with Amy, then had delish sushi dinner. She was so wiped from work, so I joined Christy Smith, and her other roommate Clinton to the Hurricane Grille in Carbondale. It's a bar that Christy's aunt just opened, and Christy is a total groupie for the band that was playing that night - punk rock! I had way more fun than I should have. :)
