congratulate me, i've just added blue to my red and white blood!
am an American citizen as of August 26th, 2005.
the ceremony was much longer than i expected... an interpreter actually showed up, which was shocking. didn't show up for my test or interview.
but, i wish he hadn't showed up for this ceremony - cuz he was soooo bad. slow and awkward, and painful to watch. so i lipread the judge's speech about American pride, culture, opportunities, loyalty. it was really fantastic. the interpreter looked so hurt. i did not care, he was ruining my moment!
oh but i so love Canada. they let me keep my Canadian passport! yay.

the rest of the weekend was good... comfy and cozy at the Fergusons'. minus the Fergusons, who were in Atlanta. caught up on my shows (Entourage, Six Feet Under, and Real World), did loads of paperwork, had a night out with Jeremy and his crew. He's my favorite part of DC.

back in indy! i was actually looking forward to returning. should be a good week, i have lots of meetings, clients, and counseling sessions scheduled. have a movie outing planned (wedding crashers), and a rollerblading tour of indy.

ooh, want to say a big congratulations to Melissa and Stephane, newlyweds! i didn't make it to their wedding yesterday and am super sad about it. our elementary teacher went, aw. that's love. send pictures, please!
